Living in Maui vs Oahu?
Question by : Living in Maui vs Oahu?
Okay, so I pretty much know the major differences. Oahu is much more populated, higher crime rate, more active night-life, better/more job opportunities; overall more exciting. Maui is overall a "nicer" or more-pristine island, but is much more mellow, less job opportunities, food/gas/etc is more expensive than Oahu and more driving. So I have a pretty good idea of the differences between the two islands.
So, I'm not totally sure what I want to know

And those places where you can go climbing in like some kind of an obstacle course where you hold on to ropes, walk on suspended and wobbly planks, climb on ropes and everything like it. Ill be visiting the island of Maui and I want to make the best of it. What are some things that you just have to do! I dont want to go on long tours but if you can recommend shorter ones that would be great. Any beaches or parks you have to see to believe. And is something like scuba diving or snorkeling best done in Hawaii. Any really unique eateries or towns.

My significant other and I are planning a trip to Egypt in October and are debating the idea of a planned tour or planning things ourselves. We want to see the pyramids, some nightlife, take a little cruise down the Nile, do some fishing, dive the red sea and maybe ride a camel in the Sahara - pretty much everything Egypt has to offer a tourist. Any suggestions??

usually scuba divers don't splash around though so the shark is not aggravated or enticed like a surfer would do(because they too wear wet suits)

I tend to get sea-sick and I prefer to have solid ground under my feet at the end of a dive. Can I see the best that the reef has to offer from shore? or do I need to bite the bullet and get some really good drugs?

We're only going to Maui and Oahu, so please only things to do on those islands.
