Just my wife and I will be going. We don't want to spend more than $ 3000 for the entire vacation including flight from Jax Florida. Looking for resort on a quiet beach with house reef for snorkeling and or side trips to nearby snorkeling, kayaking, and maybe some fishing. We're thinking about Belize, though I have also heard Barbados is nice.

Anyone been snorkeling there, water very deep? is it worth a trip?? I can't dive nor let alone swim, but I've snorkeled several times in Hawaii, Maldives, and in Thailand, so this wouldn't be any different right?

My friends and I are going down the the Florida Keys this summer and it's pretty much been a life long dream for me to dive with manta rays, so I was hoping that while I was down there, I would be able too. Scuba Diving at Sherkston Quarry
My friend and I did a dive at Sherkston Quarry, in Ontario, Canada. The quarry was active until it flooded about a hundred years ago, and most of the equipment is still down there. We checked out a piece of a railroad car and some locomotives. Depths were 30-40 feet, visibility about 20 feet. Recoded on my GoPro HD Hero 2. Music by Kevin MacLeod.

I've already visited Costa Rica so am really hoping to visit Belize as I love scuba diving and the ancient ruins of Guatemala look amazing too! Martin's wreck dive at Camia 2.Martin was improving on some breathing skills as well as mastering the wreck in Boracay. TheCamia is Boracay's house wreck. It is a 30 metre-long cargo boat that was sank as a Fish Attraction Device in January 2001. It has since developed very nicely as an artificial reef. The residents now include a couple of huge red bass, some bluefin trevallies, scorpion fish and a school of batfish.

l am already a certified diver and know my gear like the back of my hand. I have dived in murky water to the crystal clear waters of the caribbean. This summer we are taking a trip to the Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico. Can't wait until we jump in. I was diving for the 1st time off the Great Barrier Reef...?

We got the 10 minute safety instruction and then went off the end of the boat. I had no fear, been snorkling for years. I got mabey 1 to 2 feet below the surface, at best, but I could not get a decent lung full of air. I sucked as hard as I could but just had a thin stream of O2. So I had one of the boats divers check my regulator and they said everything was fine. I went down again but still couldn't suck

Recent u/w video snippets I took south of Anglins while snorkeling and pretty much in order you're seeing the 1st and 2nd reef and, later, what's out at the mooring buoys. Was a great day. It's always nice to get wet and salty! Enjoy!

In order to go to the southern Caribbean, you have to take at least a 7 day cruise and I am only taking a 5, so it will have to be western or eastern.
PS I do not want anything in the Bahamas. Ive been there..something different please =)
